Understanding agroecological immunity through play

The serious game “The Agroecological Immunity Fresco” was developed by a working group from the JNT Bestim, led by Adrien Gauthier. It aims to raise players’ awareness of the levers of agroecological immunity through a systemic approach. Presented in the form of cards, it highlights the interactions influencing plant health, biocontrol, and biostimulation.

A first version, aimed at the general public and consisting of 34 cards, has been tested among JNT members since the end of 2024. This testing helps correct misconceptions and ensure a proper understanding of key concepts. This version seems suitable for any audience with basic knowledge of plant immunity. A second, more complex version is currently being developed and will allow testing the knowledge of a more expert audience.

The game follows four steps:

  1. Analysis of the plant and soil.
  2. Monitoring of plant immunity with diagnostics and preventive approaches.
  3. Identification of corrective solutions.
  4. Consideration of regulatory constraints.

A French and English version will soon be available for free download on the JNT website, accompanied by an animation guide.
